The Australian Institute of Company Director’s (AICD) next briefing is all about how to improve Board meeting effectiveness.
Leaders of Hunter companies and organisations will be able to learn ways to improve board meeting effectiveness from local experts.
Speakers include nib deputy chief executive officer and chief financial officer Michelle McPherson, ICSA Boardroom Apps Limited business development manager Colin Panagakis, and Hunter Valley Research Foundation chairman Eileen Doyle.
The Greater Building Society is sponsoring the event and the Greater’s chairman Wayne Russell said preparation is the key to enhance the outcomes of board meetings.
“It is important for boards to regularly review their systems and processes,” Wayne said.
“As a busy director in an environment of increasing governance complexity, ensuring your board meetings are run effectively is vital.”
The briefing will look at best practice policies for meeting preparation, how papers are delivered, the impact of new boardroom apps and the role of the chair in making meetings effective.
