After an extensive search, The Mutual Bank has appointed local leader, Aleisha Taylor as Chief Financial Officer.
The bank’s CEO, Geoff Seccombe said Aleisha brings 19 years of local and national accounting and finance experience to the bank.
Aleisha started her career as an accountant at PwC before spending more than seven years in accounting at the University of Newcastle.
She has also worked in national roles with Hunter-based not-for-profit organisation, Life Without Barriers, and as head of finance and corporate services for The Maitland Benevolent Society Limited.
“The bank is performing strongly and is on a growth trajectory, so it is great to have someone with Aleisha’s financial management skills to help us continue on this path,” Geoff said.
“Importantly, she understands our culture and focus on serving members and community.”.
Aleisha is excited to be part of a local, customer owned organisation that focuses on members and community.
She said The Mutual Bank’s approach to corporate social responsibility and the ways in which it gives back to the community and those in need makes it an attractive place to work.
“I am enjoying being part of a supportive team and the challenge of operating in the competitive financial services sector,” Aleisha said.
“The Mutual Bank’s values of integrity, respect and care really resonate with me.
“Getting a seamless connection between the work behind the scenes, which supports front-line delivery of service, is important to our success.
“I was born and raised in Maitland, so it is nice to be working for a local success story,” she concluded.
Aleisha oversees the bank’s finance and treasury functions and is also responsible for its deposit products.
She joins Chief Executive Officer Geoff Seccombe, Chief Credit Officer Ken Archer, Chief Operations Officer Janet Lee, Chief Risk Officer Blake Evans, and Chief Information Officer Todd Paterson on the bank’s executive leadership team.
