It has been an unusual year for businesses across the Hunter and Newcastle region.
Despite the challenges caused by the pandemic, local agency The Marketing GP has defied the odds by achieving significant growth and expanding its team of specialist marketing practitioners.
Located in the main street of Carrington, The Marketing GP recently welcomed three new recruits.
HubSpot expert, Claire Raymond has joined as Inbound Marketing Manager; well-known local marketer, Caroline Dando has taken on the role of Marketing Client Services Manager; and Jorja Cowan started last month as Social Media and Content Coordinator.
The business recruited Claire at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak just prior to lockdown occurring.
Claire’s experience in inbound marketing, sales, and marketing process improvement, and HubSpot implementation has been invaluable in growing The Marketing GP’s success with the software.
The business is a HubSpot Gold Partner, helping drive growth for clients through streamlined sales processes, improved audience targeting, and the introduction of automated inbound marketing solutions.
“We understand that business resources are finite. Therefore, it is important to ensure that you have the right infrastructure in place to draw customers to you,” Claire said.
“We work with our clients to set up systems which will not only attract new prospects to their websites, but boost engagement, and continue to delight them long after they become a customer.”
After spending a decade managing the marketing and communications function for regional and national organisations based in Newcastle and the Hunter, Caroline Dando has brought across her extensive experience delivering national and international campaigns to local businesses.
“Every client’s journey is unique at The Marketing GP and our philosophy is really about delivering marketing that benefits all areas of our client’s businesses,” Caroline said.
“It is a privilege to work with some amazing local and nationally serving businesses to streamline their marketing activities, and ensure they are delivering the right message to the right audience, every time.”
The Marketing GP has been proactive in assisting local businesses through the challenges of the pandemic by helping them to maintain industry leadership and brand awareness.
The team even offered their popular marketing course, The Marketing Reality, to local businesses for free to help them make use of the quieter months.
Chief Marketer, Holly Martin, said it is the commitment to helping others through this time that has allowed the business to remain strong.
“It is often through adversity that the greatest ideas are formed. We’ve proactively reached out to our clients and worked with them to find ways to revamp their current services, products and marketing approach so they come out the other side of this challenging year stronger than ever,” Holly said.
“As a result, we have grown as a business, something we are really proud of. We are thrilled to offer the expertise of Claire, Caroline and Jorja to our clients and further deliver on our commitment to providing integrated solutions to business’ marketing needs.”
Jorja is The Marketing GP’s most recent recruit and a well-known young gun in the marketing industry in Newcastle.
“I am thrilled to work with The Marketing GP and their clients. They have an amazing culture and a team of experienced marketers that are making a real difference in the business community through strategies that are tailored, measured and strategic,” Jorja said.
The Marketing GP recently diversified its service portfolio to include website design and packages for start-ups or small businesses in addition to its existing marketing strategy development and implementation services.
