To mark its 30th year, Samaritans held an inaugural staff awards presentation, honouring services who had achieved excellence in their local work.
Through categories of Excellence, Innovation and Partnership the services were nominated by fellow staff and judged by an independent panel.
Winners were Samaritans disability service Enhanced Living Options group home in Raymond Terrace, Samaritans family service Intensive Family Support on the Central Coast and youth service headspace Maitland, which is locally auspiced by Samaritans.
Samaritans Director of Community Services, Rob Dawson, said the awards were a great opportunity for staff to be recognised for their hard work and for the great outcomes they offer the people they support.
“Our 30th year is the great opportunity to recognise our services that are really excelling and offering top quality support for locals in need,” Rob said.
“The awards have hopefully shown our staff how valued they are and how important their work is,” he said.
