Local legal firm, Roberts Legal has announced it has bolstered its growth strategy by announcing a new Business Manager and Director on its Board.
Senior Associate, Amanda Crosbie has been appointed Director of its Board and will join Directors Sam and Anna Roberts.
Amanda has been a Senior Associate at the firm since 2015, practicing as a member of the Corporate and Commercial Litigation teams and holds a Bachelor of Law (Hons), a Diploma of Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Finance.
Roberts Legal Managing Director, Sam Roberts said the appointment recognised Amanda’s extensive and valuable experience in commercial law and litigation, particularly in one of the firm’s key specialist areas of building and construction, insolvency and restructuring.
“We are delighted to welcome Amanda as an owner at Roberts Legal. Amanda has been an asset to our firm with a reputation for her meticulous, tactical and proactive approach to assisting clients,” Sam said.
Adding to this move, Roberts Legal has also appointed Frances Agelavu in a new role of Business Manager. Frances will help drive the strategic growth of the business and provide general management to the firm and its team.
Frances graduated from the University of Newcastle in 1998 before moving to Sydney to begin a career in management consulting. She later moved to London for a decade working for a Wall Street investment bank and spent time working in New York and Dublin.
Upon returning to her hometown of Newcastle in 2010, Frances spent seven years building a financial services business. After two decades of experience in banking, business, finance, operations and project management, she said she is excited to work with the dedicated team at Roberts Legal.
“Roberts Legal is a rapidly growing boutique firm, having recently opened an office on Hunter Street, adjacent to the Newcastle Court House to house our expanding commercial litigation team. Additionally, we continue to have a large family law team based in Adamstown with a third office in Wyong to service the wider Central Coast areas,” Sam said.
“Amanda’s elevation to our Board and welcoming Frances to our team are pivotal moves to our business plan and we can’t wait to see what outcomes we can achieve for clients of Roberts Legal in 2019 and beyond.”
