After almost 20 years in the same location, AV Chartered Accountants is on the move.
Founding Director Tony Vidray has spent most of his professional life in Newcastle’s CBD and has now found ideal premises for a relocation.
“After I left school I worked for a small firm in Darby Street and within two years we merged with a larger national office and moved to Hunter Street in the CBD,” Tony said. “That was 31 years ago and I’ve been working there ever since. In 1996 we moved to Watt Street and it’s now time to move on.”
“We owned the building we operated from in Watt Street and with all the positive activity in the city, decided it was the right time to sell. After careful consideration of a number of offices for lease we’ve chosen one of just three buildings in Newcastle with fibre optic connectivity.”
“The premises on Griffiths Road Lambton boast the fastest Internet in the city and we can’t wait. The promise of an Internet service almost 20 times faster than what we have now was too good to pass up,” Tony continued.
The AV Chartered Accountants will be opening the doors at their new address on Crescent Road, Waratah next week.
“The accounting and tax industry has changed so much in the past 20 years. Technological advances have meant that we don’t really need to be in the centre of the city anymore.”
“People need advisers who are responsive to their needs. Whilst electronic interactions with clients are important to keep information and advice flowing, nothing beats the face to face meetings, and the new premises puts us a lot closer to out client base,” Tony concluded.
