Purser Corporate Communication has welcomed former NBN News Reporter and Producer, Emma Murphy to its team.
The appointment follows a decade of experience at the news provider, where she worked across all aspects of television production generating and approving both national and regional content.
During her time at NBN News, Emma was part of the broadcaster’s transition to an online platform. She therefore understands the importance and power of driving engagement through social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter. As a result, Emma has a highly trained news sense and understanding of the community and its stakeholders.
At Purser Corporate Communication, she will work with a range of clients across the community, health, business, engineering and business services sectors to develop communication strategies and implement integrated content plans and public affairs projects.
Emma specialises in creating digital, print and media content as well as developing audience engagement programs including public activations, business network strategies and customer communication.
Managing Director, Meg Purser said Emma was a great addition to the team and would head-up content development.
“Emma’s experience in developing news, content and communication projects adds great value to our client and consultancy services. She is one of the region’s most experienced communication professionals and a great addition to our team,” Meg said.
Emma is also a passionate advocate for mental wellbeing. She dedicates her skills and expertise to The New Brave, a program offering workshops for both primary school and high school aged students to help combat mental health issues. She also works within the team at Purser Corporate Communication to provide professional communication advice and resources to a number of the consultancy’s pro- bono clients, including Got Your Back Sista, Cure Blindness Australia and Mentor Support Network.
