Long-standing local recruitment agency, peoplefusion has recently welcomed Sare Simeonov to lead its finance, accounting and IT division.
Sare joins peoplefusion with 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry, including roles with local industry superannuation funds and boutique stockbroking firms.
During this time, Sare specialised in reinventing standard approaches to customer experience and relationship management, building a deserved reputation for his ability to recognise emergent trends and leverage them for enhanced business outcomes.
Sare said it was an exciting time for him to join the business.
“I found it very satisfying to be able to immerse myself in my clients’ businesses and learn as much about their profession as possible, so that I could provide the highest quality of advice and solutions tailored to their specific needs,” Sare said.
He was also recently instrumental in a key IT role for a major hospitality operation here in Newcastle, which highlighted for him the immense opportunities that exist in the local IT / communications and analyst space.
“Cost of living is a big factor. It’s exciting to see more and more Sydney-based candidates considering work in Newcastle as they discover the lifestyle that could be theirs a little further up the coast.”
Sare’s move into recruitment was influenced by this passion for connecting with people, and his ability to build relationships of enduring value for all parties.
“I wanted to stay close to the financial services industry but knew I needed a change. Looking at the recruitment industry, I felt it ticked a lot of boxes for me – rapid pace, relationship-focused and solutions-oriented for both candidates and clients,” Sare said.
“It’s very exciting. We’re able to connect clients with the highest quality senior finance professionals quickly and directly, giving them unprecedented choice of talent in a fast moving and competitive sector.”
Reflecting on his former industry, Sare considers the upcoming changes to financial planner educational requirements as being a development of great interest for both recruiters and finance professionals.
“Candidates entering the industry now can benefit from guidance on the best available pathways to take,” he said. “Conversely, senior professionals leaving the industry are looking for informed direction as they transition into new careers.”
Commenting on the appointment, Director of peoplefusion Sally Bartley said Sare’s depth of expertise and recent transition from the industry means he is perfectly placed to understand the complex environment in which his clients operate.
“Ali and I are really pleased to boost our offering in this space. Sare’s insight will be invaluable for identifying candidates that can bring the necessary resilience and adaptability to their role as businesses face challenges with evolving technology, offshoring options and a talent-short market,” Sally said.
