Partnership to create Greater Carnivale this March

Hamilton’s renowned multicultural event, Carnivale will be held on Sunday 11 March 2018 and has been given a boost by Greater Bank.

The event is staged by Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and is expected to attract around 25,000 people to the suburb.

Chamber President, Nathan Errington said the event would feature an expanded line-up of activities and entertainment and welcomed the ongoing and increased support of Greater Bank in 2018.

“Carnivale brings together a cosmopolitan and diverse range of entertainment, retail and hospitality organisations to hold a full program of fun, food and family activities. Hamilton will once again come alive with colour and energy celebrating its rich culture as a premier place to live, work and play,” he said.

“Greater Bank has been a terrific supporter of the event for a number of years and in 2018 the organisation and its team will play an integral role in assisting the chamber to showcase the suburb’s unique offerings.”

Greater Bank Chief Executive Officer, Scott Morgan said Greater Bank was again thrilled to be part of this iconic event for Hamilton.

“Greater Bank’s foundations were established in Hamilton more than 90 years ago and we have been part of the community’s fabric since those early days. Like Greater Bank, the Hamilton region has continued to grow and flourish and Carnivale is reflective of the vibrant community it is today,” Scott said.

“We are proud to support Carnivale 2018 and look forward to a wonderful celebration of the cultural diversity that is central to the rich tapestry of the Hamilton community.”

The event will be held from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 11 March 2018 along Beaumont Street, between Tudor and Donald Streets. Full details of the 2018 event will be launched in 2018 and will include a refreshed line-up of entertainment, market stalls and boutique shops, a kid’s zone and and assortment of international cuisine.
