Newcastle Business Club and oOh!media partner to boost business promotion in the Hunter

With the Newcastle metropolitan area being the second most populated city in NSW, local businesses have the rare opportunity to benefit from advertising right in their backyard.

Seeing the untapped potential for businesses in Newcastle, oOh!media have partnered with Newcastle Business Club to provide further opportunities to promote and advocate for local business.

oOh!media are an advertising company that reaches over 92 per cent of Australian’s each week, with over 35,000 advertising and non-advertising assets across locations in Australia and New Zealand.

Noticing the growth and demand for advertising in the region, oOh!media appointed Cassandra Agnew in October 2019 as their Business Manager on the ground in the Hunter region.

As part of providing ongoing support for the influx of interest and local investment, Cassandra said the partnership with Newcastle Business Club was a fundamental steppingstone to communicating and reaching out to local businesses.

“Newcastle Business Club has such strong ties with incredible business people in the Hunter region. So, to be able to partner and provide our insight and knowledge to this community will be a win, win for all involved,” Cassandra said.

Their first activity in partnership with Newcastle Business Club was their sponsorship of the club’s first luncheon of 2020, which was hosted at the Harbourview Function Centre earlier this week.

President of the Newcastle Business Club, Clare Ferguson, said that having the support of such a respected and well-founded company, such as oOh!media comes as a real asset to the Club.

“Cassandra and the oOh!media team are doing such great work in the region with their advertising work and we believe our members can really benefit from this partnership,” Clare said

“We hope that with this partnership businesses in the region will continue to grow and learn something insightful about the power of ‘out of home’ advertising.”

Alongside their sponsorship of the luncheon, oOh!media donated a $10,000 advertising package that was auctioned off for bushfire relief.

As a cause very close to the hearts of many, Clare said it was rewarding to have such a generous and heartfelt donation involved in their first event for the year.

“The generous donation to go towards bushfire relief was such a great way to kick start our luncheons for the year,” she said.

“Congratulations to Marty Adnum and the Out of the Square Media team, who were the winning bidder.”

Cassandra said that it was opportunities like these that oOh!media are looking to be more involved in throughout 2020.

“We love seeing the passion and dedication of local businesses, and the Hunter region is booming with so much potential,” Cassandra said.
