Since 1989, The Huxley Hill Group has been supporting employers in protecting their employees, clients’ and organisations from misconduct, injury, and risk. From its humble beginnings as a husband-and-wife team providing investigation support, The Huxley Hill Group has evolved into a multi-disciplinary business with investigators nationwide and offices in Newcastle and Melbourne.
Their team believes that the company’s growth over the past 30 years comes down largely to building a team that is passionate about protecting people and providing exceptional value to their clients.
In those past three decades, Huxley has expanded its services to better meet its clients.
Managing Director, Brynley Hill said the company established its National Surveys & Risk Assessment (NSRA) arm in 2002 to meet the needs of Australia’s major insurers, underwriting agencies, insurance brokers and corporate self-insurers for independent and accurate reports on their clients’ risks to be insured.
“We had become aware that some surveys in the industry were slanted towards underwriters or brokers,” Brynley said.
“And they therefore weren’t providing an accurate picture of the risk.”
The NSRA arm of the business has filled this niche since then, regularly providing what Brynley said is a “true and real report on the exact status of the risk” and servicing a variety of businesses nationwide.
In 2017, The Huxley Hill Group further expanded by introducing its Mandatory Reporting team, which provides investigative and training support in the realms of aged care, children’s and disability services, as well as workplace investigations.
“Our team is focused on giving a voice to those who often aren’t heard,” said Nicole Cook, Mandatory Reporting Manager, who is passionate about the service her team delivers.
As part of this service, the Mandatory Reporting team ensures operational staff have the necessary knowledge to identify reportable incidents and organisations are trained by experts to guarantee compliance with governing body regulators.
“Our job is not only to provide high quality investigations, but also to educate and support frontline staff to ensure vulnerable people are protected in their homes,” Nicole said.
In its 30th year of business, the company plans to continue providing quality investigative support and risk assessments across Australia, with a planned expansion into New Zealand.
