Newcastle Airport appoints Linc Horton as new CEO

The Newcastle Airport Board has announced the appointment of Linc Horton as CEO of Newcastle Airport, effective 5 May 2025. His leadership comes at a pivotal time for the airport, with the imminent opening of its International Terminal and growing partnerships within Australia’s defence industry.

Linc joins Newcastle Airport from Toll Group, where he has served as Global Head of Property. Previously, he was Chief of Property at Melbourne Airport from 2008 to 2020, overseeing the growth of its commercial estate into a $105 million per annum business. He has also held senior roles in the UK, including as Investment Director at BAA Lynton, managing airport property investments.

Newcastle Airport Board Chair, Jude Munro AO, welcomed Linc’s appointment, citing his extensive experience in airport property development, capital projects, and stakeholder engagement.

“We are thrilled that Linc will be joining Newcastle Airport to lead the team,” Jude said.

“He brings a long and outstanding track record in airport operations, property development, and commercial negotiations. We know he will be an active contributor to business networks across the Hunter Region.”

Linc currently serves as Chair of North Link, a Melbourne-based business association focused on sustainable economic development, and Deputy Chair of Regional Development Australia, Melbourne.

He said he was excited to take on the role and contribute to the airport’s future growth.

“It is clear that Newcastle Airport plays a pivotal role in the success of the Hunter Region, and I look forward to being part of its next chapter,” Linc said.

“My wife and I are excited about moving to the Hunter and embracing everything it has to offer for our family.”

Linc will officially commence his role as CEO of Newcastle Airport on 5 May 2025.
