Local IT services company, Myrtec has just announced a new Techshop session in May for local businesses to explore more about office hardware in their workplace.
The lunch and learn series, which was launched earlier this year, is designed to facilitate professional development, education and networking amongst the Hunter’s professional services community.
The company hosts these Techshops monthly and is now looking ahead to their next Techshop.
The upcoming May Techshop will feature live demonstrations using the latest hardware to hit the market and a Q&A style discussion so that attendees can learn when it’s time to upgrade devices, discover what’s trending in their industry and decide what devices they should invest in next.
Myrtec’s Director, Tristan Hough said that the Myrtec team started hosting Techshops as a value add for Myrtec customers, but that it didn’t take long before professionals from the wider Newcastle business community started signing up to come along.
“Techshops give people a taste of what we are all about,” Tristan said.
“Our team is thrilled to see they are picking up significant momentum, from both our new and existing customers, plus other professionals from Newcastle and surrounds.”
Director at Synchronicity Wealth, Norma Samson took to socials to praise Myrtec’s Techshop series.
“It’s essential to stay up to date with the latest technology that can enhance productivity, efficiency, and security for myself and my clients. Myrtec’s Techshop events give me this and allow me to network with other like-minded individuals and businesses that can contribute to my client’s success,” Norma said.
“Techshops are four birds with one stone for the price of $0. There’s a complimentary lunch, professional development, networking opportunities and beers and wine.”
Myrtec’s Marketing and Communication Coordinator, Skye Harvey said that her favourite part about hosting Techshops is meeting new people that are coming along for the first time.
“I love when someone leaves their first Techshop and asks me on their way out about the date for the next one. It makes me really proud of our entire team and what we are accomplishing,” Skye said.
For more information about the next workshop, keep an eye out on Myrtec’s social media platforms.
