Newcastle-CBD-based firm Maxim Business Advisors has promoted three long-serving team members to Principal roles in the firm.
The promotions of Dan Sullivan, Chris Henshaw and Tyler Cannon recognise their long-term commitment to their clients, internal teams and professional growth through Maxim’s professional development program, RISE, and include
equity in the firm.
They join current Directors Chris Sneddon, Steve Roxby, Kellie Wright, Scott Brooks, Warwick Turnbull, Damien Cameron and Cassandra Sharp in supporting the firm’s strategy and ongoing growth.
CEO of Maxim Business Advisors, Kellie Wright said the business is proactive in investing in its people’s growth and careers and committed to developing talent from within.
“Dan, Chris, and Tyler are highly respected Advisors who bring the right skills and experience to these leadership roles,” Kellie said.
Together, the three principals have more than 40 years of experience at Maxim. Dan Sullivan, who has been with the firm for over 20 years, leads the specialist tax advisory group, providing tax advice and corporate restructuring expertise.

Chris Henshaw, a former business consultant with more than 10 years at Maxim oversees a client portfolio and team, delivering commercial insight and clear guidance.
“I’m excited to take on this leadership role,” Chris said.
“Maxim has given me the tools and opportunities to develop my career, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the firm’s growth while supporting our clients and team.”
Tyler Cannon has spent the past 10 years at Maxim, progressing from senior accountant to client manager. In his new role, he delivers tax and compliance advice while fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

“Being appointed principal is a recognition of the work we do as a team, and I look forward to continuing to support our clients and mentoring colleagues as we grow together.”
While their day-to-day work with clients remains the same, Dan, Chris and Tyler have begun a new chapter in Maxim’s future, stepping into an even bigger role in guiding the firm forward.
