Hunter based, Mara Consulting has joined forces with leading Australian planning and environmental consultancy EMM.
Mara’s Managing Director, Kelly Lofberg said the decision to join EMM was based on the two organisations having a strong alignment on culture, links across projects and services, and most importantly, shared corporate values.
“Mara has a strong track record of successfully delivering projects across the Hunter region, NSW, QLD, the Pacific and Canada. This is an excellent opportunity for us to join a much larger, growing, and complementary business,” Kelly said.
“EMM is a highly respected consulting business, and we are proud to be joining forces.”
The two organisations welcome the potential that working together brings from a strategic perspective, bolstering existing expertise and adding new experience and services to the team.
The additional expertise will strengthen EMM’s national practices in communication and engagement, and Social Impact Assessment (SIA).
The expanded capability will also create a foundation for new service offerings in landscape architecture and design capability and ESG.
EMM CEO, Liz Webb said the integration is a continuation of the organisation’s successful and sustainable growth plans.
“The opportunities that will be created with Mara and EMM coming together are exciting for both our people and our clients. We are really looking forward to working with our clients with this new combination of capabilities and strengths that our respective teams offer,” Liz said.
Kelly said Mara’s team started transitioning to EMM from early December 2021.
“By joining the EMM team, it enables the evolution of our services, providing the same quality support to our clients, while providing access to new services.
“We are excited to be part of the EMM team and look forward to new opportunities to create vibrant communities through powerful conversations!” Kelly concluded.
