Merewether Carlton Rugby Club kicked off the season with confidence thanks to their new sponsor Kloster BMW.
The local car dealership has teamed up with the club for the next two seasons as its major sponsor, providing great support to the players.
Kloster BMW General Manager Daniel Chalhoub said the sponsorship aligned with the company’s ethos to support local sport at all grades.
“Our sponsorship of the club goes directly to assisting the teams on the field, offsetting registration fees and supporting the players,” Daniel said.
“Kloster BMW believes in promoting grassroots sports right through to the top grade in Newcastle and The Hunter, and the sponsorship of Merewether Carlton Rugby Club reinforces this commitment.”
“Like Kloster BMW, the rugby club has a strong belief in developing culture and a sense of community pride.”
Merewether Carlton Rugby Club President Stephen Reid said he was excited to have Kloster BMW on board.
“Our club has been a proud part of Merewether and the broader Newcastle community for almost 90 years and it is great to partner with another iconic organisation such as Kloster BMW,” Stephen said.
“We are excited to welcome Kloster BMW to The Greens family and look forward to a successful 2015 season.”
The club will field five men’s and one woman’s team in the senior division and has around 300 juniors registered for this year’s competition.
Kloster BMW also supports the Newcastle Knights, Ronald McDonald House, Ride for Sick Kids and the Newcastle Jets.
