Jayco Newcastle has been awarded by the NSW Caravan and Camping Industry Association (CCIA) as NSW Dealer of the Year at the 2023 Annual Awards of Excellence for the sixth time.  

The industry’s peak industry body, the CCIA, has recognised Jayco Newcastle for its outstanding service and commitment to the caravanning and camping industry, at its member celebration held at Crown Sydney Barangaroo on 16 November 2023. 

The awards saw members gather to celebrate a night of exceptional achievement and to honour the outstanding contributions of individuals and businesses who exemplify the best of the industry. 

Jayco Newcastle’s pursuit of excellence in innovation and commitment to customer service has made them a standout in a competitive field and provides an inspiration to the industry. 

Jayco Newcastle Director, Damian Charleson said this recognition for a sixth time is a testament to their commitment to growth and their hard-working team.  

“Winning this award means a lot to our business. We put a lot of effort into driving continuous change and delivering enhanced value to our customers and it is wonderful to be acknowledged for this,” Damian said. 

“This award is a reflection of our team’s collective passion, hard work, and shared commitment to exceeding expectations.” 

This distinction is another achievement in Jayco Newcastle’s exemplary history having taken out the award in 2015, 2016 and 2017 as well as being subsequently inducted into the Hall of Fame for this run before winning the award again in 2019 and 2022 (after returning to the awards following a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic). 

CEO of the CCIA NSW, Lyndal Gray said Jayco congratulated the Jayco team on their consecutive years of success. 

“Jayco Newcastle is an outstanding CCIA member business in the Newcastle Hunter Region and is now a six-time winner of the prestigious NSW Trade Dealer of the Year award,” she said. 

“Their continued success is a team effort and one the association has recognised and awarded. Congratulations to Damian and his team.” 

Jayco Newcastle’s Assistant Service Manager, Bec Lisman, was also named as a finalist for the Employee of the Year Award on the evening. 

Jayco Newcastle is the premier dealer in the Hunter and Central Coast areas for camper trailers, pop-tops, caravans and motorhomes.  

The dealership has enjoyed an association with Australia’s RV market leader Jayco for more than 40 years, and has grown to an impressive one-stop-shop for new and used caravans and motorhomes, along with state-of-the-art servicing, parts and accessories centre spanning over 5 acres.  

Jayco Newcastle continues to invest in its business and staff to elevate its customers’ experience, from new equipment and systems to more space and servicing, a comfortable new reception area, and the new Jayco Newcastle Customer Portal (allowing customers to access useful FAQs, how-to videos, servicing and warranty information).
