Locally based supply chain company Farragher have embraced the latest in online service offerings by providing an virtual approach to warehousing.
Their clients are able to use the full suite of warehouse offerings, with the flexibility to scale up or down as required.
National Business Systems Manager, Scott Martel, said that their Warehouse Management System offers clients total autonomy to create customer orders, monitor the delivery process, monitor stock levels and conduct procurement activities while Farragher's arrange the picking, packing, dispatch, transport and delivery to and from anywhere in the world.
“It's so simple, with clients able to just log on to the system from anywhere and view their customized status reports and alerts,” Scott said.
“Customers want a competitive advantage, better systems and reduced costs -our system with full business functionality can expose our clients to a pool of established international supply chains and take advantage of these cost structures”.
The virtual system is comprised of a third-party logistics provider (3PL) approach incorporating the storage of stock, as well as providing a full range of fourth-party logistics (4PL) to cover the outsourcing of business processes.
“The outsourcing of a full ERP system in terms of providing total management and autonomy is uncommon,” Scott said.
“However by using the 4PL service SMEs can reach full capability quickly which can satisfy new tender, contractual or accreditation requirements or they can use our system as a stepping stone as their business grows.”
Originally Farragher was established in 1933 as a transport and removal company however has expanded their service offering over the years.
Based in Cameron Park the organisation is privately owned and managed by third generation owner John Farragher.
