Hunter Plastic Surgery takes out ten global awards in ten days

Dr Nick Moncrieff and his team at Hunter Plastic Surgery have just become global award winners for the second time in the past month.

The team were recognised for their industry leading work at the Global MyFaceMyBody Awards in Las Vegas and the Global Stevies Awards for Women in Business in New York.

Hunter Plastic Surgery walked away with a total of six awards at the MyFaceMyBody Awards and claimed four at the Global Stevies Awards, a total of ten awards in their ten day America trip.

Dr Nick Moncrieff, the Founder and Specialist Plastic Surgeon at Hunter Plastic Surgery, said he was delighted to receive such positive recognition for their team’s work.

“We are very happy to accept a total of ten awards for all elements of our practice from our front desk, our management, our service, and of course, to the surgical outcomes I am able to deliver,” Dr Moncrieff said.

The MyFaceMyBody Awards celebrates and recognises the amazing work of aesthetic practices, individuals and brands in each country.

Hunter Plastic Surgery were named among the winners at the awards, and walked away with a total of six awards, which included;

  • Australasian Surgical Makeover of the Year – the body transformation Dr Moncrieff performed on nurse and mum of three, Carley Fidock after her 60+ kg weight loss,
  • Australasian Customer Experience of the Year,
  • Australasian Practice Team of the Year,
  • Australasian Practice Manager of the Year – for Jessica Laing, and
  • Global winners in the Customer Experience and Practice Team categories when their submissions from the regional awards were then compared with those from the US, UK and across the globe.

They team also took the Gold Stevie Award for Small Business Management Team of 2019 and three bronze awards at the Global Stevies Awards, which was held in New York.

These were the 16th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business, which is the world’s top honours for businesses run by women.

This year there were entries submitted from women from 25 countries and entries were judged by 150 professionals from around the world.

Dr Moncrieff said that without the hundreds of women who came through their doors, none of this would’ve been possible. He took the time to thank them for their support.

“Thank you so much to all hundreds of women who choose us every year for breast and body surgery and allow us to make a real difference to their health, happiness and confidence. You allow us to live our purpose,” he said.

Hunter Plastic Surgery pride themselves of their unique focus on breast and body surgery – which attracts patients from all across Australia.

To be recognised on a global scale, Dr Moncrieff said it comes down to their shift in their business approach in 2016.

“These awards are more confirmation that our decision in late 2016 to focus exclusively on breast and body surgery for women as been the right one,” he said.

“We know we are very busy, but it is great to have the global judges look under the hood of some many clinics across the world and decide we have something so special.”

Co-founder of Hunter Plastic Surgery, Amber Moncrieff, explained that the surgery has been able to grow as a business to really cater to women both locally and nationally.

“We have now grown to be one of the most popular plastic surgery practices in Australia for women, with 45 per cent of our patients travelling for more than 50 km’s for surgery with us, and half of them from more than 100 km’s away,” she said.

“I think women are increasingly looking for surgeons who focus on a particular area of aesthetic surgery – and they are prepared to travel from right across Australia for the right person. In our case, that’s Dr Moncrieff.”

The team are also very passionate about reinforcing positivity and reality in their plastic surgery marketing, saying no to skinny stock images of models.

Amber believes that a huge part of their business is based on integrity and honesty, and this comes down to the images they market for their surgery.

“One thing we are very public about it the importance of honesty and reality in the images of women in the marketing of plastic surgery and we featured that in our submission for the judges,” she said.

“We refuse to use stock images of models in our marketing – unlike so many clinics in this industry, because we believe they are misleading and a negative force on body image.”

“No misleading pictures of skinny teenage models here,” Amber concluded.

By way of example, the new Hunter Plastic Surgery website is an industry first, featuring only their real patients across the website.
