Hunter-based Mutual Bank recognised at WeMoney 2025 Financial Services Awards

The Mutual Bank has been named Lender of the Year (Customer Owned Bank) – Home Loans at the WeMoney 2025 Financial Services Awards. The Hunter-based bank also won Term Deposit Account of the Year (Customer Owned Bank), Outstanding Customer Service – Personal Loans, and Outstanding Customer Service – Car Loans. It was a finalist for Best for First Home Buyers.

Chief Executive Officer, Mark Williams said the recognition reflected a focus on value and service for Members.

“Our profits are reinvested into products and services for Members and into community support,” Mark said.

“By understanding and supporting the unique needs of our Members, we aim to provide personalised banking solutions that help individuals, families and business feel secure.”

Executive General Manager at WeMoney, Matthew Ikin said the awards acknowledged market leadership.

“Winning a pinnacle award in the industry is an achievement, recognising The Mutual Bank as a preferred choice for Australians,” Matthew said.

“Over the last four years, WeMoney’s audience has grown significantly, now reaching more than 1.3 million downloads, with 93 per cent in the Gen Z and Millennial demographic.”
