Greater Bank appoints three new Directors to Board

Greater Bank has announced the appointment of three new Non-Executive Directors, Kylie Macfarlane, Catherine Robson and Donna Vinci to its Board.

The appointments follow an extensive nation-wide recruitment process and have been effective as of 1 July 2020.

Greater Bank Chairman, Wayne Russell, said he was delighted to welcome three highly credentialed Directors to the board who collectively bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in the banking and financial service industry.

“The new Directors join us in what is a very important period for the business, as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 crisis, as well as continue with the digital transformation of the business that will provide a critical strategic platform for the future of our organisation,” Wayne said.

“Each of these women bring extensive skills and experience across the banking, financial services and not-for-profit sectors and we look forward to working with them to continue to provide customers with outstanding service and quality products.”

Queensland-based Kylie Macfarlane brings more than 25 years’ experience in executive and board positions across the wealth management, banking and not-for-profit sectors highlighted by strong strategic, commercial and people leadership.

Until recently she was the General Manager, Corporate Responsibility and Corporate Affairs Strategy at Commonwealth Bank, a role she held for over five years, prior to which she spent 13 years at Colonial First State.

Melbourne-based Catherine Robson is the founder of Affinity Private Advisers and has more than 20 years’ experience as a financial planner, including with Macquarie Bank and NAB.

She is a currently a Non-executive Director of ASX-listed EQT Holdings Limited and has served on a number of Boards and committees over the past seven years, including Equity Trustees Superannuation Ltd, Scale Investors, Cancer Council Victoria and the Walter & Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research.

Donna Vinci brings extensive corporate and commercial experience in senior executive roles across global business operations, risk management, digital, data and technology.

She is currently the Chief Operating Officer at GenVis Pty Limited prior to which she held senior executive roles at Bank of Queensland (BOQ), Insurance Group Australia (IAG) and Citigroup.

Donna also currently serves as a Non-executive Director on the boards of a number of organisations in the education, financial services and compliance and risk management sectors.

The new appointees join the Greater Bank Board, currently served by Chairman, Wayne Russell, Deputy Chair, Jayne Drinkwater and non-Executive Directors, Russell Ware, Malcolm McDonald and Roger Cracknell.

“We are so excited to continue the expansion of Greater Bank and look forward to the expertise and skills these women will bring to our Board,” Wayne concluded.
