Amidst the current COVID-19 pandemic, work continues on the construction of the $10 million integrated ATUNE Health Centre at Cardiff South.

ATUNE Health Centres CEO, Simon Ashley, said that during these unprecedented times the team remained positive and focused on bringing a new integrated health centre to the community.

“Despite so much in our community being slowed-down by COVID-19, construction is still progressing within health and safety guidelines set by the Australian and NSW state governments,” Simon said.

He commended the work of North Constructions and other supplier who have been working tirelessly on the project during this time.

“I commend the work of North Constructions and other suppliers on their professionalism and commitment to the health and safety of workers,” he said.

“It has been all hands-on decks since the sod turning in August 2019 and we can see the centre starting to take shape.”

He said the inside of the building was near completion, with work now starting on the façade which will turn the once 1970s squash court into a light and spacious centre.

“It is very exciting to watch what was once a dream become a reality,” Simon said.

On completion, the building will be transformed into a multipurpose centre with 30 consultation rooms which includes seven medical suites, pathology services, two Pilates and yoga studios, 100 seat auditorium, hydro pool, rehabilitation gym, a café specialising in organic food and beverages and health food store. The development will also retain eight squash courts.

“We are very much looking forward to welcoming our community as soon as practical,” he said.
