Lake Macquarie City Council has announced a range of appointments, first welcoming Dwight Graham as its first Chief Financial Officer.
Dwight’s role as CFO will see him lead Council’s Finance and Administration Team and provide sound financial advice and support across all levels of the organisation. Prior to joining Council, Dwight was CFO of Power and Water Corporation, the Northern Territory’s utility services provider. He also has experience in Victorian Local Government where he held positions at Manager, CFO and Director level. He has a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy), MBA and is a chartered accountant.
Brooke Humphries has been promoted as Council’s first Chief Information Officer. Brooke has more than 20 years’ experience in information technology and information management roles in a Local Government environment. She will be tasked with delivering digital services that support the City’s interests as the Council implements its Lake Mac Smart City, Smart Council Digital Economy Strategy.
Jacqui Hemsley has been appointed Manager Cultural Services. Jacqui’s prior experience at Albury City Council where she was Group Leader – Cultural Services, overseeing visual arts, cultural development, museum and social history, placemaking, public art and library services, including LibraryMuseum, Albury’s award-winning museum, archive and library facility, and the recently opened Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA), has given her in-depth knowledge of cultural activities and how best to create a safe, desirable and inspirational City for the people of Lake Macquarie.
Lake Macquarie City Council’s General Manager, Brian Bell, said he is pleased to welcome Dwight Graham, Brooke Humphries and Jacqui Hemsley into their new roles at Lake Macquarie City Council.
“Dwight, Brooker and Jacqui have a wealth of experience and knowledge in local government and their respected fields of finance, information technology and cultural services,” Brian said.
“Council will greatly benefit from their expertise in these key areas as we continue to deliver essential services to Lake Macquarie City residents while planning for the City’s future.”
