Rotary International has announced the inaugural Marching Band & Entertainment Spectacular to be held on Friday, 28 March 2014 at Hunter Stadium.
Coinciding with the Rotary Conference in Newcastle, in which over 400 delegates will attend from around the region, the event will showcase an array of talent from the local area as well as invited guests from outside the region.
The event will include The Millennium Band from Sydney, The Marching Koalas, The Hunter School of Performing Arts, The City of Newcastle RSL Pipe Band, Hunter Singers, Scottish Dancers, PCYC Gymnasts, Star Struck Singers, School Spectacular Puppets and performers from Rosie’s School of Rock. There will also be a special guest appearance by country music star Catherine Britt.
“We are very excited about this event, and it’s a fantastic way to open the Rotary District Conference”, said Rotary Conference Chairman Ted Atchison.
“This will be a dynamic, inspirational and most importantly, an affordable event for all to enjoy.”
“It’s also a great way for us to celebrate Rotary’s continued contribution to our community by putting together this event and giving back all profits from the event to a couple of great local charities.”
All profits from the event will go directly to local charities the Hunter Prostate Cancer Alliance and Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.
“We are keen to have the whole community come along and be involved in the event, and we have priced this as affordably as we can to ensure a great value family fun night out.”
A Family Ticket starts from $40 for two adults and two children, with each additional child only $5 extra. General Admission Adults tickets are $15 and Children $10 with limited seats in the Western Grandstand available.
