Hunter-based national accounting and business advisory firm, Lawler, recently celebrated the quarter century milestone of their Partner and Managing Director, Steve Meyn.
Steve started with the firm 25 years ago and has risen through the ranks to run the Newcastle and Sydney offices.
He began in the Maitland office as a trainee accountant and since then has expanded his skill set to include Information Technology and business systems and strategic planning.
Director of Lawler, Andrew Beattie, said that Steve is the type of person you don't find every day.
“His support to the firm and the people that work there is second to none,” Andrew said. “His continual innovation, even after being here for such a long time is amazing, his accessibility to all levels of staff is simply great and his zest for life is inspiring.”
Steve said that the recognition was not needed, as he loves what he does.
“To me I’ve always viewed it as most things in life, you get out of it what you put into it and as long as you are surrounded by and supportive of good people then the rest takes care of itself,” Steve said.
Lawler began in 1977 as a small accounting practice in Newcastle, today the award winning practice also has offices in Sydney, Tamworth, Walcha, Brisbane, Rockhampton, Melbourne and Perth.
