Local IT services company Myrtec recently hosted its monthly “Techshop” lunch and learn session for customers and the wider Newcastle business community. The event, attended by 100 participants, provided an opportunity for Myrtec to introduce its new service, Technology Advisory.
This service will bridge the divide between IT support services, and technology-enabled business opportunities. Myrtec’s advisors will educate business owners on various IT systems, including AI which can enhance their businesses.
Myrtec Director, Tristan Hough shared his insights.
“Hosting Techshops on AI has not just been to solidify our place as AI experts, but as business advisors and thought leaders in general. Our Technology Advisory service will give clients objective advice on technology projects. It will fill the gaps between vendors and project stakeholders, enabling businesses to focus on their core operations without the distraction of internal technology decision-making processes,” Tristan said.
“This new service will open doors to working with new clients that we otherwise wouldn’t have had the chance to work with. Our team is so pumped about it,” Tristan added.
Myrtec Business Development Manager, Rob Dawson shared his thoughts on the launch.
“Our goal is to empower businesses to move beyond the status quo of operational IT systems. After hosting two successful AI Techshops, people are keen to apply AI into their business workflow, but just aren’t sure where to start,’ Rob said.
“AI is just one example of the many competency areas that myself and our other advisors will be able to address through our Technology Advisory service,” Rob said.
Business Hunter Events and Marketing Manager, Ellie Bright also commented on the Techshop.
“Before attending the last event, I had only used AI for bespoke tasks. I had no idea of the tangible difference that AI could make when applied to repetitive workflows.”
The Myrtec team is expanding with two new offices opening this year in Maitland and Erina.
