Robotics Systems provide computer education to Aboriginal communities

Newcastle engineering consultancy, Robotic Systems, have reached their 2020 goal by providing the equivalent of 10 years’ worth of computer education to Aboriginal communities in Northern Queensland.

In partnership with the B1G1 giving platform, Robotic Systems will deliver a total of 3,684 days of computer education by 30 December 2020.

Founder and Director of Robotic Systems, Adam Amos said the 10 for 20 idea aligns with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

“The UN Sustainable Development Goals are essentially a to-do list for the world,” Adam said.

“I believe that real change in our world comes from businesses focusing their giving efforts on specific problems and finding innovative, sustainable solutions.

“We’ve chosen Global Goal #9 because Robotic Systems is on a mission of human focus. We create machines every day that allow humans to focus on more important things that a machine cannot do.”

He said their business wants to help by helping communities with that first step, and that starts withcomputer education.

Adam and the team at Robotics Systems hope that this achievement inspires other local organisations, whether bigor small,to help make a noticeable impact in the wider community.

“Through using the B1G1 platform, other organisations, like Robotic Systems, can find socially responsible and verified giving goals which align to their values and overall vision,” Adam said.

Robotic Systems is an engineering consultancy that specialises in accelerating the journey from an initial idea to manufactured devices that our customers own and sell.

With a team of 11full-time engineers, scientists and artists, Robotic Systems create electronics, software, and hardware to solve some of the biggest challenges in mining and agriculture.
