The Business Centre has appointed Frank Herb to the position of Chairperson of its Board.
Frank is an experienced manager with over thirty years of experience in the information technology arena. He is currently the Procurement Specialist IT and Business Systems at Newcastle Permanent Building Society.
CEO of the Business Centre, Pierre Malou said with all the exciting new developments on the horizon for 2019, Frank has taken on the role at a very vibrant time.
“Here at the Business Centre we are looking forward to 2019 with much excitement as we have several new programs and corporate services to help businesses across our region see sustained growth,” Pierre said.
“We are very much looking forward to having Frank at the helm of the Board during this exciting time.”
Frank has been a member of the Business Centre’s Board for the past 12 months and was pleased to step into the Chairperson’s role.
With his ability to support transition and change and with many exciting projects, initiatives and events on the Business Centre’s agenda for 2019, Frank is a welcome addition to the leadership team.
Frank will take over from Janice Knowles who served as Board Chairperson for eight years, overseeing many changes at the Business Centre as it evolved. Janice will remain a Director of the Board along with Bob Purser, Damien Harvey, Janelle Kirk, Sandra Gilshenan, Derek Eube, Warwick Gilbertson, Vince Stanton and Stephen Barr.
Frank has previously worked with La Trobe University in a project and management consulting role, University of Newcastle as Associate Director and as Chief Information Officer for Lake Macquarie City Council.
Business Centre recently partnered with the Business Hub, Futurepreneurs and Singleton Council to launch the Business Start-Up Assistance Program to support potential entrepreneurs in Singleton.
