Around 90 direct sales and party plan professionals from across Australia will meet on Thursday, 22 October 2015 at Caves Beach for both The BE Conference and Wonder Showcase.
The events are the brainchild of Newcastle businesswoman Sharyn Swan who is the founder of Savvy Circles Network, which supports those working in the direct sales industry.
In Australia, there are 600,000 consultants in the direct sales/party plan profession, which generates $1.5 billion annually. Some of the most well-known direct sales companies include Tupperware, Arbonne, Juice Plus and Scentsy.
Sharyn said The BE Conference is designed to bring together existing consultants, to connect and collaborate. The day’s agenda will provide both business and personal development learnings and a great deal of fun too. She went on to say the network encourages members to ‘shop with one another’ and redirecting this spend increases prosperity into local communities across Australia.
“The direct sales industry is a great option for those looking to be their own boss whilst having the backing and training that national and international brands can provide,” Sharyn said.
“As a career it offers great flexibility for people who may be studying, raising a family or even caring for elderly relatives.”
Savvy Circles Network is the only one of its kind in Australia that specifically supports those in the direct sales or party plan profession. Through the network, they have Connect Circles in 30 local areas across Australia. Each local host brings consultants together in a facilitated meeting format designed to encourage presentation skills, camaraderie, creating referral possibilities and sharing ideas to facilitate business growth and knowledge.
“For the customer, the personalised service and support of direct sales is excellent. Many people complain that they don’t receive the attention they need in a traditional retail store and while online shopping is convenient, some people like to see what they’re buying up close. Direct sales is a perfect option for customers who want to ‘try before they buy’; whether that’s getting the perfect foundation matched, a bra fitting or how to make a meal using just a few key kitchen tools and some spices and oils,” Sharyn continued.
The Wonder Showcase is open to the public and will offer 28 exhibitors from the direct sales industry including well-known brands such as Intimo Lingerie, Norwex, ENVY jewellery and Your Inspiration at Home. Each exhibitor will offer free samples or special services to event attendees such as minifacials, aromatherapy and a range of treats will be available to taste-test. The event is estimated to inject $20,000 into the local business community via accommodation, leisure and travel services undertaken by attendees.
