Dress for Success Sydney is a registered charity that improves the employability of disadvantaged women, trans women and non-binary people comfortable in women’s spaces who are in need in NSW.
This is achieved by providing, free of charge, professional clothing, a network of support, coaching and career development tools to help women achieve self-sufficiency. Unemployment rates for women in the Newcastle and Hunter Region are above the national average.
Women in need in the Newcastle and Hunter region may be experiencing poverty, unemployment, underemployment, and family violence.
The Newcastle Branch offer styling sessions at our showroom. Since 2019 we have styled over 135 clients, recruited over 50 volunteers who gave over 300 hours and established working relationships with over 30 local referral agencies. The Newcastle Team is grateful to the following organisations for financial support: Stronger Communities, NIB Foundation, Port of Newcastle, and Uniting Care.
