The Business Centre awarded best regional BEC

The Business Centre has been awarded Best Regional BEC at the recent 2016 BEC Australia Awards for Performance held in Melbourne as part of the Small Business Development Conference 2016.

Federal Minister for Small Business, the Hon Michael McCormack MP presented The Business Centre with the Award, which recognises Business Enterprise Centres (BECs), their management and staff whose business practices, innovation and core service delivery has realised outstanding outcomes and economic benefits to the local community.

The awards program highlights excellence within the national BEC network, which first commenced operations in the early 1980s. The philosophy of the network is to provide, information, advice and assistance to business intenders and existing business owners so that they are well-placed to develop their businesses as successful and profitable entities.

The Business Centre General Manager, Narelle McClelland said it was an honour to be acknowledged for the assistance they provide to businesses.

“We’re extremely pleased to be awarded Best Regional BEC – a salute to our dedication, working to achieve successful outcomes for businesses in our local community,” Narelle said.

“We’re tremendously proud of what we do in helping people achieve their business goals.”
