Team building on the water

Team building on the water

It was when he was bringing a racing yacht back from Coffs Harbour that an idea was born which saw the launch of Nautical Pow Wows.

Founded by local business and executive coach (plus YachtMaster and Instructor), Clive Jones, Nautical Pow Wows looks to provide businesspeople with the ultimate way to get out of the office and set themselves new goals.

Clive says it is aimed at business leaders and professionals looking to raise the bar to achieve even greater results.

“It’s for those people who will enjoy between one and six days on board, exploring new waters and the opportunity to chart their course ahead for future success in business,” Clive said. “It’s about bringing together small groups to get very focused on their goals and having fun while doing it.”

The days and nights are spent with a blend of sailing adventure under the guidance of Clive, who facilitates the learning and brainstorming throughout the day, with attendees getting a totally unique experience.

There are PowWows covering a broad section of topics from Strategic Planning through Leadership and Team Building and developing Operational Efficiencies, as well as facilitated brainstorming with key clients, or high achievers in a business or Franchise group.

“We all know that we are more creative, open to different thinking and sharpening our skills when relaxed and enjoying what we are doing. But an important factor resulting from taking time out in this way is to have an action plan to take away from it, as well as the accountability and support in implementing it,” Clive continued.

The PowWows can be locally in the Hunter, either on the Lake or on Port Stephens, or further afield in Sydney or the Whitsundays, as required.
