Newcastle advertising and branding agency Out of the Square Media (OOTS) has been appointed as the Greater Building Society’s new agency for the next three years. OOTS beat a number of locally based and multinational agencies for the job.
The Greater’s Head of Marketing Matt Hingston said the OOTS team were a standout in a very impressive field.
He said it was great for the Newcastle-headquartered Greater Building Society to be able to award the contract to a Newcastle-based agency.
“We awarded on merit, not location, so this shows the great local talent that exists in our region,” Matt said.
The agency has been quick off the mark completing a refresh of the TV advertising and other campaign material for The Greater’s current Great Rate Home Loan holiday campaign. The new campaign coincides with The Greater’s expansion of the offer. People can now choose from a fourth holiday when they take out a Great Rate Home Loan.
OOTS’ founder, creative director and general manager Martin Adnum said The Greater is the latest addition to its growing client list. Martin said winning The Greater is very rewarding because they are a long standing leader in the region’s business community that is not afraid to do things differently.
“OOTS and The Greater share common values including a passion for the Hunter region and contributing to the region’s development as well as to the community,” Martin said.
Last year OOTS funded and developed the “Newcastle Inspired” campaign. The six advert campaign was designed by OOTS to help inspire Novocastrians to reach their full potential and celebrate the region’s existing good fortune and success.
The Greater previously used a Sydney advertising agency for more than 10 years.
Newcastle (Watt Street) based OOTS specialises in creative, strategy and digital marketing services to create compelling communication for its clients. Established 17 years ago, it now employs 20 staff.
