NFP Connect launches new peer-to-peer mentoring program

Once upon a time (but, not all that long ago in local business) there was a wind-down into the festive season and a wind-up into the new year. The fast pace of the world and our increased commitment to 24/7 contact with our world and those we connect with has made that practice all but extinct and things such as planning and preparation harder to achieve.

Grace McLean of local network NFP Connect, has launched a 2018 peer-to-peer mentoring program designed to help people achieve success in their role, through planning and identifying areas of opportunity and focus.

“It’s an incredible tool to help people stop, breathe and figure how to move forward when they’re feeling lost or overwhelmed in life or at work,” Grace said.

The program was designed for people working in the not-for-profit and charity sectors but is also useful for people working in small business. The 12-week program includes small groups of six people that can be from the same or different organisations who come together at fortnightly workshops with Grace McLean to plan and prepare for personal growth.

“The program enables people to start fresh by understanding their own blocks, create a vision and discover strengths and values that underpin their leadership potential,” Grace said.

“There are a lot of educational programs for people who work in these sectors, but I couldn’t find anything to help individuals create a plan for their personal development. The NFP Connect program guides people through tactics that will get them out of the mouse wheel, break bad habits and stop feeling overwhelmed by the crazy pace of work and life.”

The first peer-to-peer mentioning program for 2018 kicks off on 1 March. The cost per person is just $349. The program can also be completed using the NFP Connect Planner.
