Newcastle Permanent has been named 2016 Home Lender of the Year by the experts at one of the largest online databases of bank and finance reviews in Australia, Mozo.
CEO Terry Millett said this was an exciting achievement for Australia’s largest building society, five-time Home Lender of the Year winner in the Financial Review Smart Investor Blue Ribbon Awards and Money magazine’s current Home Lender of the Year.
“We believe that we’re the best home lender in the country, and are proud that the experts at Mozo agree. We already know that our customers agree because they’re voting with their feet and refinancing with us at unprecedented rates,” Terry said.

The Mozo Experts Choice Awards recognise Australia’s best value financial products and helps Australians to save money by choosing better products.
Experts Choice Awards medals are awarded to the top 10 per cent of products that meet the selection criteria in each awards category, however only one medal is awarded for the ‘Home Lender of the Year’ category.
The Experts Choice Awards analysis is carried out by Mozo’s Research & Insights Director and Product Data Manager, who between them have over 50 years of experience in financial services and 21 years in online financial services comparison.
