Mai-Wel’s Gala Ball returns to support youth and jobseekers with disability

The Maitland Town Hall will be transformed into a night of glamour again for Mai-Wel Group’s annual Gala Ball. With the backing of Imagine NOW I.T. as naming rights sponsors for the fifth year, the Gala Ball will be held on Saturday 28 April, 2018.

Since inception in 2011, the Gala Ball has forged its reputation as a hallmark event on Maitland’s social calendar, attracting more than 250 guests annually to raise funds for projects that develop skills and support people with a disability and young job seekers in our area.

The Mai-Wel Group’s CEO, Pennie Kearney said she is pleased to see the proceeds of the 2018 Gala Ball help youth and job seekers with a disability.

“The funds raised this year will assist the new and exciting Thrive Farm Project,” Pennie said.

“Our goal is to secure and fund an outdoor project space that will provide additional and unique training opportunities and skill development of our job seekers.”

Managing Director of Imagine Now I.T., Chris Burgess said he is proud to again support the Gala Ball as event sponsor for the fifth consecutive year.

“I have been a supporter and an admirer of the wonderful work Mai-Wel does for many years now. As a local business owner and a father of a child with Asperger’s, I feel very privileged to be returning as the naming rights sponsor of the Mai-Wel Gala Ball,” Chris said.

“It is an amazing night for an amazing cause and I challenge all locals to get on board for an enjoyable evening to help raise funding for people in our community with a disability.”

Tickets are now available, but the theme of the Gala Ball is still under wraps.
