Lake Macquarie to recognise business excellence

Lake Macquarie to recognise business excellence

Today marks the official launch for the 2015 Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards.

Held annually, the Awards are an initiative of the Business Growth Centre and aim to recognise business excellence and celebrate the outstanding achievements of local businesses and their contribution to the Lake Macquarie community.

Lake Macquarie businesses of all sizes are encouraged to enter online and take advantage of this opportunity to showcase their business. To enter businesses must be based in or have an operation in the Lake Macquarie Local Government Area and be a ratepayer to Lake Macquarie City Council.

Business Growth Centre Manager, Brett Gleeson believes entering the Awards provides a multitude of benefits for local businesses.

“Once again the Awards will give businesses the opportunity to profile themselves and their achievements to the local community,” Brett said.

“Businesses who enter the Awards will have the chance to reflect upon their achievements and the entry process can assist business owners with planning for a positive future.”

“Being chosen as a finalist or winner provides valuable recognition of a business’ accomplishments, and being an Award winner is a profound acknowledgement of market leadership and achievement in business excellence.”

Jill Hall MP, Federal Member for Shortland, will officially launch the 2015 Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards at the Business Growth Centre later today.

“We are extremely grateful for the continued support of Jill Hall who has been a valued sponsor of the Awards since it’s conception,” Brett continued.

“This commitment, along with the support of the returning and new sponsors including Dantia who have come on board as the Major Sponsor this year, as well as the partners and prize donors, makes the Awards the premier business event for the year in Lake Macquarie.”

The 2015 Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards will feature 13 award categories and three major awards. The award categories focus on a range of business functionalities including branding and marketing, business systems, workforce training and development, customer service, innovation, entrepreneurship, retail practices, workplace health and safety and sustainability.

The three major awards acknowledge the contribution of an individual or business to the Lake Macquarie community.

Winners of the Awards will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner, which will be held on Saturday 11 July 2015 at Belmont 16s.

Entries will close on Friday, 15 May 2015 and can be submitted online.
