An new safety mesh developed by local building company, GWH Build not only earned it a finalist slot in the 2017 NSW Safety Awards, but has also played a pivotal role in the safe delivery of 105 apartments in three months.
The Fall Protection Safety Mesh was developed and implemented by GWH to address an onsite safety issue for the internal security of building sites. Engineered to withstand the weight of a person and designed toprevent objects and people falling from sites, it all eviates the need for scaffolding or edge railing around panel openings such as windows and doors.
As a result of GWH’s commitment to safe practices on all sites, the business has also been nominated a finalist in the Most Innovative WHS Award in the Hunter Safety Awards.
GWH Build develops landmark residential, retail and industrial projects all over the Hunterregion.
The business has also recently released its third development since December. Following Waterview Belmont and Newcastle’s tallest residential development, AERO, in Hunte rStreet, SOHO Central went from hole in the ground to home sweet home in just 16 months, with the first residents now moving in to what is the suburb’s newest boutique apartment complex.
Consisting of 41 residential apartments, SOHO Central is the first development of its size in Islington.
With the entire development sold in just under six months, GWH Managing Director Jonathon Craig said purchasers were already experiencing up to 25% capital growth on their investments.

“SOHO Central was finished in 16 months, which means people can start enjoying their investments.
