Hunter TAFE Foundation appoints new Board Director

Kiraley Martin has been appointed as the new Board Director of the Hunter TAFE Foundation. She brings over 15 years of experience across industries including logistics, manufacturing, mining, construction, government and not-for-profit.

Kiraley is an advocate for diversity and inclusion and is committed to helping people gain better access to equal opportunities, especially in education.

“I am very excited to have this opportunity and to see first-hand the positive impact the Foundation has in supporting TAFE NSW students to reach their goals and succeed in their career journey,” Kiraley said.

Kiraley is also a Director of Equal Futures Project, a member of the University of Newcastle’s Alumni Advisory Committee and a member of the Women in Mining Committee for the Hunter Valley.

President of the Hunter TAFE Foundation, Karen Howard said they were fortunate to welcome Kiraley to the Foundation’s board.

“Kiraley is an experienced board director with a passion for empowering others and supporting her local community,” Karen said.

The Hunter TAFE Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation working with business, education, and community leaders to support education and training at TAFE NSW in the Hunter and Central Coast region

The Foundation has a rich history in the region since its establishment in 2000, having evolved from the Newcastle Technical and Further Education Committee Trust Fund which received its first donation in 1936 to provide skills for employment.

Hunter TAFE Foundation now provides financial support to TAFE NSW students in the Hunter and Central Coast who are experiencing either personal or financial hardship, assisting them in completing their studies.
