CVG Finance takes out industry award

Local boutique finance broking firm, CVG Finance, has once again earned top honours at the National PLAN Australia Awards, with Director Paul Lambess taking out the coveted Commercial Broker of the Year Award (NSW/ACT), for writing the most commercial finance in the financial year to 2015.

It’s the third time Paul has won the coveted award, which was presented recently at a prestigious industry ceremony held in Melbourne at the annual PLAN Australia Commercial and Asset Finance Conference. He was also the runner-up for the national gong.

Paul said receiving the award was an honour in such an accomplished field.

“I was thrilled to win, given the calibre of my peers,” Paul said. “Winning a state-wide commercial broking award shows the standard of the business being done in the Hunter for both local and national clients.”

“We always put the needs of our clients first and it’s rewarding to see we are being recognised beyond the bounds of the region for what we do for them.”

The award reflects the personal approach CVG Finance has taken to business since its inception in 2009, embracing innovation while at the same time remaining at the forefront of commercial finance brokering across the spectrum.

“Our focus is to provide value by leading the field and remaining fresh and relevant through the services we provide. We make sure we surpass expectations, which means thinking outside the box in the way we provide guidance and solve financial issues.”

The nine-strong CVG team is moving from strength to strength in the finance sector, with the recent appointment of commercial lending specialist Graeme Boyd, who brings a wealth of industry knowledge to the table.

With more than 30 years’ experience working with major banks in relationship portfolio management and senior credit risk management roles, Graeme brings his vast knowledge to CVG and back to Newcastle after spending the past two years as Regional Credit manager for Westpac in the Pacific Islands. Specialising in commercial finance, property investment and development, debtor finance and equipment finance, Graeme enhances the professional offering of CVG and rounds out the specialist team.
