Crowdfunding campaign for inspiring stationery range

Hunter-based Kasia Gospos is the Founder and Publisher of Leaders in Heels, a leading Australian online community and magazine created to nurture, inspire and empower female leaders. Leaders in Heels website has been visited over 1 million times since its launch in 2011 and is the go-to website for professional women and entrepreneurs looking for inspiration.

Kasia is not only a feminist and change-maker in the gender equality space—she also uses her experience from her corporate roles as a Commercial and Business Analyst and Management Accountant, where she weaves meaningful stories from financial, operational and online analytics.

In 2014 she successfully crowdfunded the first Make Your Mark leadership notebook, working closely with designers and publishers. The campaign saw 2,000 notebooks funded in 12 days, and later fully sold out.

Leaders in Heels is launching a second crowdfunding campaign to kick-start the creation of another beautiful, inspirational stationery designed to increase a representation of women in leadership positions and female entrepreneurs.

“The Make Your Mark stationery line encourages and inspires women to follow their passion, to be more creative and innovative in their lives, to feel more confident and determined in their endeavours and to maintain a kind heart while becoming successful,” Kasia said.

“The fact the first range sold out shows there’s a need for inspirational stationery!”

The new line includes a notebook, a notepad and a journal. Each product is split up into six sections for each leadership trait from the Leaders In Heels Manifesto: passion, creativity, innovation, confidence, determination and kindness.

“I created the Manifesto for women to develop a skillset that helps them move up the corporate ladder, turn passion to profit and empower other women to also reach their potential,” Kasia continued.

When asked why she is launching the product through crowdfunding she said that printing requires substantial financial outlay upfront, as there is a need to print a considerable volume to make them cost-effective.

“This campaign will provide the much needed capital to fund the first production run. I also firmly believe that these products are the change-makers in the empowerment and gender equality space and I want to share the message with the world!”

Kasia comes from Poland and came to Australia in 2008. In 2009 felt in love with a Novocastrian and she currently lives with her now husband in Wallsend.
