Corporate support for fundraising TV series

Local business, Delbridge Forensic Accounting, have been long time supporters of charities in the region and are continuing the tradition by supporting Ronald McDonald House (RMH) Northern NSW.

A new TV series called Life Changing Adventures sees everyday people raising funds and awareness for a specific charity. In the NSW series a number of the participants are local to the Hunter region, including Michelle Faithfull, whom Delbridge are supporting.

Michelle is one of ten people in NSW selected to take part in the challenge where the team will collectively raise $150,000 for the charity and then embark on a life changing adventure in September with celebrity, Ricki-Lee Coulter, which will be filmed as part of a documentary series to be aired on Channel 7 in 2016.

Principal, Suzanne Delbridge has made a corporate donation of $5,000 to Michelle in her attempt to reach an individual target of $15,000.

“Michelle’s fundraising obsession is infectious, and having been involved with the establishment of the Nicholas Butters rooms at the John Hunter Hospital, and personally knowing others who work tirelessly at RMH, I couldn’t help but want to be involved with Michelle’s Life Changing Adventure,” Suzanne said.

“I have a son who suffers from a rare disease, and have always been ever so grateful that we had a hospital in close proximity to our home. I could easily imagine the difficultly suffered by families who aren’t so close to a children’s hospital, and the service provided by RMH is amazing.”

As well as the financial support Suzanne and the Delbridge staff volunteered at a Bunnings BBQ fundraiser, attended a trivia night and also have a table of people coming to the upcoming gig at Lizotte’s on Thursday, 13 August.

“I encourage my staff to be involved in community projects, they have a community goal in their own KPIs each year. My fantastic team are delighted to be involved in a small way in helping Michelle achieve her fundraising goal, and in doing so assist with the funding for the new RMH family room,” Suzanne continued.

With the funds raised by all the participants in the TV series, Ronald McDonald House Northern NSW will build a new Family Room within the extended Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at John Hunter Children’s Hospital by the end of 2017.

The NICU unit at John Hunter Hospital touches the lives of over 1100 families each year. These families come from the Central Coast, Hunter and New England Northern NSW regions to the only NICU unit servicing the region.
