Coastal Advice Group continues rapid expansion to provide leading local financial advice

Coastal Advice Group is celebrating its rapid growth and expansion with the recruitment of three new Financial Advisers and two new Adviser Support staff.

This new round of recruitment significantly increases the team to a sizeable total of 40.

Murray Wynne, previously of Wynne Partners in Coffs Harbour has joined the team as the Lead Wealth Protection Specialist, bringing his existing client base with him.

With over 30 years of experience in the life insurance industry, Murray is an incredibly experienced and knowledgeable financial adviser further strengthening Coastal Advice Group’s insurance offering to both new and existing clients.

Murray said he is excited to have joined Coastal Advice Group and lead the Wealth Protection team to provide personal insurance solutions to more people in NSW.

“Anybody can take out an insurance policy but my real value to our clients is my extensive knowledge and understanding of our ever-changing industry. I want our clients to walk away with a strategy that is relevant and tailored for their current situation as well as future goals,” Murray said.

Novocastrian Bree Phillips is the next to join the Newcastle-based Advice Team. Initially starting in financial planning administration, Bree progressed her career to an adviser role where she was able to expand her skillset and bring more value to clients.

Bree looks forward to bringing her 11 years of experience to Coastal Advice Group and demonstrating her deep understanding of client strategies and needs.

“Our role as an adviser is very simply about giving you clarity on where you are and where you want to be, what success looks like for you, giving you the right tools to achieve this and then most importantly, providing you the freedom to live life whilst removing these stresses,” Bree said.

The final addition to the Advice Team is Central Coast-based Luke Hill. Earning a Master of Financial Planning and with 15 years in the finance industry – six of those spent advising – Luke is highly knowledgeable, skilled, and passionate about holistically assisting clients in all financial areas of their life.

“As a financial adviser, I’ve witnessed how sound financial advice has helped my clients. That’s why I strive to support them in identifying their goals and providing outcomes that they didn’t think were possible,” Luke said.

To assist in maintaining the high-quality advice solutions and superior ongoing support that their clients deserve, Coastal Advice Group also felt it crucial to bring on two additional skilled Adviser Support team members – Sonya Munro and Louis Matheson.

Group General Manager, Mitch Ramsbotham views the team expansion as a valuable coup for the business and a strong progression towards the ambitious goals of the business.

“As our business grows and develops, it has given us the ability to evolve – allowing us to focus on a better, more simplified, holistic and sustainable way to deliver advice and pass the benefits on to our clients.”

“The new highly skilled and experienced additions to our team will allow us to further refine our specialist advice and service offering, making us a significant competitor in the Financial Advice landscape.”

Coastal Advice Group is now the largest – in both size and business growth – within the RI Advice Group, which is also backed by IOOF, one of the largest providers of Financial Advice and  products in Australia.

CEO of Coastal Advice Group, Daniel Brown is extremely proud of the Group’s thriving performance, especially considering the challenges of COVID-19 and the ongoing transformation of the Financial Advice industry, which has seen many other practices struggle with ongoing regulations changes and additional operational requirements.

“If we continue as is, we remain on track to deliver our vision of enhancing our clients’ lives with passionate leadership and growth-focused culture and in doing so, provide an opportunity for all Australians to establish a future without limitation,” he said.

“We can’t wait to see what we can achieve as a team in 2022.”

Coastal Advice Group currently operates across three New South Wales locations including Newcastle, the Central Coast, and Sydney with offices soon to open in Northern NSW.
