Newcastle Permanent has been recognised for offering one of the country’s best value personal loans in the 2017 Mozo Experts Choice Awards for Personal Loans.
The 2017 Mozo Experts Choice Awards presented Newcastle Permanent’s Personal Loan – Fixed, Unsecured gongs in two categories: the Unsecured Personal Loan category and the Excellent Credit Personal Loan category.
The non-entry-based Experts Choice Awards are a Mozo initiative that recognises Australia’s best-value Personal Loan products to help Australians save money and choose better products.
Newcastle Permanent’s CEO, Terry Millett said winning the awards highlights Newcastle Permanent’s consistent track record of providing superior products to its customers.
“These awards recognise that Newcastle Permanent is continuing to offer our customers high quality and great-value products; products that are amongst the best in Australia,” said Terry.
Mozo analysed 239 personal loans from 73 providers to identify Australia’s most competitive personal loans across several categories, including Car Loan, Secured Personal Loan, Unsecured Personal Loan, and Excellent Credit Personal Loan.
“This year’s research has been exhaustive with 239 personal loans under the judge’s microscope. To be ranked in the top 10 per cent of personal loans in the market, given such tough competition, is a real indicator of a top value product,” said Kirsty Lamont, Mozo Director.

The gongs kept coming in December with Newcastle Permanent’s Personal Loan, Unsecured being awarded Canstar’s Five Star Award. During the month, Newcastle Permanent was also named a finalist in the 2018 RFi Australian Lending Awards categories of Best Unsecured Personal Loan Lender and Best Mutual categories. Newcastle Permanent team member, Meredith Maddison was also named a finalist in the 2018 Better Business Awards.
