The annual Summer Art Bazaar will be held on Saturday, 7 December 2013 and applications are open for stallholders to participate.
Art Bazaar is held quarterly by Hunter Arts Network (HAN), which is a non-profit membership of Artists, Designers, Jewellers and craft people from the Hunter region and showcases original handcrafted goods from over 100 local HAN artists.
The 11th Art Bazaar will be held at it's original home, in Civic Park, Newcastle, from 9am to 3pm.
Leah Fawthrop, President, Hunter Arts Network said that the Summer Art Bazaar will be a great way to show families and visitors how wonderful Newcastle's creative community is with Art in the Park and the launch of the inaugural Marion's Artree fundraiser for Meniere's.
“It’s wonderful to see that several other art and design markets have started during this time,” Leah said.
“We encourage new and emerging Artists and are always looking for them to apply for the first time and we provide advice on how to set up an Art stall and how best to present themselves.”
“Stallholders this year will be among local celebrity artists such as John Earle, Kerry Melbye, The Strutt Sisters, Trevor Dickinson and more.”
The Summer Art Bazaar has free entry and there will be demonstrations, entertainment, food and drinks.
