From its humble beginnings with three employees, Strike Force Services has evolved into a reliable, safe, and quality-assured professional cleaning and facilities management business who are now celebrating 20 years in business.
Back in 2003, Founders of Strike Force Services recognised an unmet need for cleaning services in the industrial sector. Since then, they have strategically expanded their services, securing major contracts in sectors across the Hunter region.
Managing Director, Jason Schutz said that geographical expansion has also become a cornerstone of Strike Force Services’ success, allowing the company to support new communities and provide diverse facilities management services to their clients.
“Obviously we have spent many years establishing our reputation in the Hunter region – one of the most tight-knit regions in Australia. We have the runs on the board, which is what has made our wider expansion across Australia achievable,” he said.
“But further to that, establishing strong safety and integrated management systems were significantly important to achieving the growth we did. This is what makes Strike Force Services different.”
Strike Force Services provides a comprehensive range of facilities management services – from cleaning services and pest management, through to air conditioning, refrigeration and hygiene supply and servicing.
Their core industries cover not only mining, heavy industry, and manufacturing, but also aged care, Government and the education sector.
Business Development Manager and daughter of Strike Force Services founders, Jenny Gitzel believes their success lies in their people.
Employing over 500 individuals, the company prioritises local talent, giving opportunities to those that live in the communities they serve.
“Our journey has been one of challenges, triumphs, and continuous strategic growth. We’re proud to have contributed to the local economy for so long, providing jobs and opportunities for multiple generations,” Jenny said.
Beyond employment, Strike Force Services sponsors local businesses, sporting clubs, and hosts events and lunches, nurturing the very communities it is a part of.
“Our goal is to maintain that small family business mentality. Sourcing employees locally, sponsoring local businesses and clubs, and always remaining approachable to our clients and employees are all things we aim to do to achieve this,” Jenny concluded.
