Newcastle company, Seed People Consulting is answering an increasing need in the Hunter for tailored, cost-effective HR expertise in the SME space as more and more people say goodbye to employee status and pursue dreams of starting their own businesses.
Growing a business has its rewards, but as a company begins to expand so does the challenge that comes with the requirement for HR compliance. And while it’s common for small businesses to build teams of external specialists to focus on finance and legals, an ad hoc approach to HR can be disastrous.
Seed is filling the gap with a new suite of HR solutions that lets business choose the one that suits them best, allowing Seed to become a valued partner providing expertise without the need for a full-time, in-house HR team.
The model focuses on supporting businesses at every stage – from start-up to growth, maintenance and consolidation – with its premium packages offering almost 80 documents including policies, templates and guidelines.
Founder and Principal, Stacey Kelly said Seed was a helping hand in setting up documents and frameworks to protect business from unintentional non-compliance.
“People often start their own businesses to quench their thirst for pursuing a passion,” Stacey said.
“But with that comes the responsibility of ticking HR compliance boxes; maintaining accurate documents and processes; and getting the most from a team.
“We’ve designed a range of HR options so different businesses can work with the one that is best for their business.”
Seed People Consulting has a substantial product offering, with almost 80 different types of HR related documents. The entry level product, called the Seed HR Hub, has an annual subscription rate of $495 and provides 40 documents.
Seed HR Plus offers around 80 documents, costs $895 annually and includes a two-hour business review of workforce strategy and planning, as well as a Q&A session. The Seed HR Elevate package offers additional monthly consultation support.
Seed People Consulting is giving away an annual subscription to The Seed HR Hub. To enter, businesses should email yourteam@seedpeopleconsulting.com.au and explain how their business would benefit from the subscription.
