The Women in Building & Associated Services (WIBAS) group is calling for nominations for the Women in Building Recognition Award, as part of the Master Builders Excellence in Building Awards.
One of the nine awards presented, WIBAS President Sarah Parry-Jones of Earp Brothers says that being nominated for this Award is a great honour.
“It’s important that we recognise achievements within our industry, to inspire others and promote the Building and Construction industry as a great career path for women,” Sarah said.
“We all know women are doing great things in the Hunter region and the Women in Building Recognition Award offers an opportunity to celebrate these achievements in a public forum.”
“We are looking for women who are outstanding in their field; who pursue excellence and who contribute to their industry and community. There are plenty of worthy candidates in the Hunter but we need people to shed light on them and the work they do.”
Past winners of the awards include Linda Knox of Lianda Constructions (2014), Louise Morrison of Hansen Yuncken (2013) and Melanie Wilde of Wilde Legal (2012).
One of the nine awards presented at the Master Builders Excellence in Building Awards, WIBAS is encouraging nominations that detail who the nominee is, their contact details, what they have achieved and why they should be recognised.
Nominations close 31 May 2015 and can be made via email.
