With a focus on the finer details, local consultancy Design Anthology is committed to the creation of world-class products.
Launched in 2009 the firm provides a combination of technical expertise and creativity to take their clients ideas from initial concept to creation and implementation.
Design Anthology Principal, Joshua Jeffress says that over many years he has admired and championed the innovative and entrepreneurial culture of the Hunter region.
“However, alongside viewing innovative concepts I have also had the misfortune to observe, with some frustration, that while the ‘concepts’ were innovative, many were poorly executed and under-optimised,” Joshua said.
This led him to develop a consultancy that could partner in local endeavours and deliver the a combination of industrial design and product engineering.
Joshua was recently awarded the Young Business Person of the Year at the 2013 Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards.
The awards identify promising and creative entrepreneurs, with applicants required to clearly demonstrate their unique contributions to the market, the value of their services and their potential for ongoing future success.
Judges of the award commented that “the innovation emphasis of Design Anthology is to be commended. Its focus and service delivery is high class and most valuable to the growth and prosperity of Lake Macquarie and in fact the Hunter Region.”
“Through attracting a diverse range of clients, many of them successful and reputable businesses, it is a testament to the demonstrated value of the services provided by Design Anthology, a business Joshua started from scratch.”
Design Anthology’s services encompass the complete development process, from initial idea generation through to market research, conceptual development, prototyping, compliance and manufacturing execution. Their product offering also includes brand development, product visualisation and marketing support.
