The region’s leading plastic and cosmetic surgery clinic has further strengthened its expertise and services with the appointment of a third plastic surgeon.
Dr Yezdi Mistry who specialises in hand and skin cancer surgery has joined Dr Nicholas Moncrieff and Dr Gary Avery at the Charlestown practice.
Dr Mistry is a fully qualified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in both Australia and New Zealand. He is Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and has recently worked at John Hunter Hospital’s Hand and Micro Surgery Unit specialising in hand reconstructive operations and wrist disorders.
“I am excited to be joining a team that is so passionate about providing expert care and the best results for patients whether they are in private or public care, where we assist those who are uninsured,” Dr Mistry said.
“We are certainly now offering the most experienced and broad range of plastic and cosmetic surgery options in Newcastle,” he said.
Founding surgeon Dr Moncrieff says three of Newcastle’s four plastic surgeons are now based at Hunter Plastic Surgery and Dr Mistry’s appointment has major benefits for local patients.
“Not only have we further enhanced our skills and services, but waiting times for patients will now be significantly reduced,” Dr Moncrieff said.
“People no longer need to travel to Sydney for plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery or the many non-surgical treatments we also provide.”
The clinic’s ‘5 Star’ service was recently recognised when it was named best Small Business Customer Service at the 2015 Hunter Business Chamber Awards. It then went on to win the Best Practice Team Award and was placed runner up in both Best Plastic Surgery Practice in Australia and Best Customer Service categories at the 2015 MyFaceMyBody national awards.
